About the Pennystone Project
The Pennystone Project, organized in 2004, explores landscape applications of plants indigenous to Pennsylvania. Our goal is to encourage stewardship of the varied and complex ecosystems throughout the commonwealth and to celebrate the pleasures of landscaping with wildflowers.
Our goal is to share detailed information relating not only to the habitat and culture of native plants, but also data concerning ecoregions, common landforms of the state, basic soil information, and the nearly 200 studied ecological communities found in the commonwealth.
We welcome questions relating to landscaping with native plants in Pennsylvania.
